You can prepare a post and schedule it to be published on your Page at a different date.

Scheduled posts need to be published between 10 minutes and six months from when you create them.

To schedule a post:

  1. Start creating your post at the top of your Page’s Timeline
  2. Click  next to Publish
  3. Select Schedule Post
  4. Choose the date and time you want the post to be published
  5. Click Schedule

To backdate a post:

  1. Start creating your post at the top of your Page’s Timeline
  2. Click  next to Publish
  3. Select Backdate Post
  4. Choose the date and time in the past that you want the post to be published
  5. Click Backdate

When you backdate a post, the post will be published immediately and appear in the past on your Page’s Timeline. You can also choose to hide the post from News Feed.

You can also save your post as a draft to be scheduled or posted at a later date.

All scheduling times correspond to the current time zone you are in.

Distribution Schedule

Running a promotion or limited time offer? Facebook now allows you to schedule your posts to stop appearing in the News Feed of your fans.

Select a date and time in the future for when you want your post to stop showing in News Feed. The post will still be visible on your page, but News Feed distribution will end.

Note: You cannot schedule a post from your personal Timeline.

When Your Fans Are Online

In the ‘When Your Fans Are Online’ tab, you get a week’s view of when the people who like your Page are on Facebook. Click any part of the graph to see the number of people and the time, so you can plan your posts around when your audience is most likely to be using the platform.
