We all know that social media is a powerful tool for communicating with consumers and generating value, but how much of all the time spent using social platforms actually presents the highest reach and engagement?
insentia.twosocial analysed the social media market for May 2015 and some interesting results were found.
Facebook posts during the work week provide the highest reach, with the largest amount of audience activity at 9am and 5pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That doesn’t mean that all those dollars spent on paid activity is obsolete, considering that Facebook is reducing organic reach till it slowly reaches zero! However if you still don’t want to spend money, native videos produce the highest amount of organic reach than other content as Facebook attempts to be seen as the “video platform”.
As far as Twitter is concerned weekdays provide 14% more engagement for B2B tweets, with the most amount of retweets after the working day is over at 5pm. Weekends yield a 17% higher engagement for brands and the largest involvement of click-through-rates, with 12pm and 6pm being the best time to tweet.
Want to get yourself seen on LinkedIn? Avoid posting on Mondays and Fridays! The best times to post are 7am-8am and 5pm-6pm on Tuesday through to Thursday, with the most profile shares on Tuesdays between 10am and 11am.
