A Few Words:
Andrew has been working in the marketing industry for more than 13 years in a range of specialised positions including digital marketing, PR, social media, mobile experience and marketing strategy – both in Perth and in Melbourne.
He was the Head of Global Social Media at Jetstar prior to returning to Perth where he built a social media presence to 500,000 followers worldwide based on increasing positive brand mentions from a low to 3 per cent to 15 per cent in six months. He also managed the crisis response and escalation strategy around a series of natural disasters: Bali volcanic eruptions, Queensland Floods, Chilean Ashcloud disruptions, Japan tsunami and the Christchurch earthquakes which has received industry recognition for its innovative use of social media .
He was also the Marketing Manager for LandCorp and has worked at the cutting edge of mobile and social technology at social startup PlayUp where he marketed the product to be a Top 5 free sports app across China, Australia and the USA – delivering more than 1 million downloads (and 2 million Facebook fans) of the product in less than 4 months.
He was also responsible for the WA Day campaign that won the Australia Web Awards social media award last year in his current position as Head of Digital at Clarity Communications.
