A Few Words: Anne Maree is the executive Director of Activate Perth and one of the leading visionaries that produced the Activated Artworks Walk to Optus Stadium. This project which was the first of its kind in WA collaborated with many talented artists including Roebourne based artist Stuart Campbell (A.K.A SUTU) who’s installations have been featured in the National Museum of Australia. 

The Activated Artworks Walk which was developed to celebrate the opening of the Matagarup Bridge gives people walking from the city to Optus Stadium a truly unique experience using the EyeJack app and the artwork around the WACA and Perth City landmarks. This idea was conceived as an alternative to standard signage with the Activate Perth team reimagining a way to give directions to fit better with 2018.

With a background in business tourism specialising in community sector events Anne has worked with some of Australia’s best known organisations such as The Perth Convention Bureau, The Adelaide Convention Bureau and the Funding Network Australia. Anne Maree is also has a personal interest in arts, in May becoming a board member of the John Curtin Art Gallery Advisory Board.
