So you want to be a great storyteller…

But you’re wondering how?

It’s actually quite simple, through real and authentic brand storytelling!

Gone are the days of only telling your audience what your product or service is. Now you have to show them, who your brand is, what it stands for, how your product or service works from a consumer point of view and in a really cool authentic way.

By doing so, your audience is enticed to come back and see what’s going on with your brand. They feel invested and apart of your brand story which makes them more likely to engage or purchase from you.

Show your personality

  • What does your brand stand for?
  • Who are your employees?
  • Where are you based out of?
  • What’s the community around you like?

All of these things make your brand unique and gives your brand a personality. Your audience will resonate with that and relate to what you’re putting out, encouraging them to feel apart of your brand.

Be authentic, always!

Authenticity is a word we hear a lot these days, but how can you be truly authentic?

By being 100% real and genuine with your audience, always! People feel a real emotional connection with brands that don’t just share a highlights reel but their needs, wants, hopes and desires.

Include your audience in the journey

Don’t just say what the journey was at the end, but include your audience along the way. Ask they’re opinions and incorporate it into what steps you take for the brand. Instagram Story polls and comment boxes are great for this!

Share User-Generated Content (UGC)

People love to see their content used on brands social media accounts. It creates a sense of community and gets them actively engaged with your brand. Encourage your audience to use a unique branded hashtag and feature some top posts to help tell your brand story from the consumer’s point of view.
