Intern Profile: Tyson Spensieri

SMPerth // 13th April 2018

Tyson has always kept up to date with technology and up to date with what goes on around the digital world.

Tyson really felt drawn to use his creativity and strategic brain when he was young as he was involved with his parents Darrell Lea franchise. He would be interested in the marketing activities and this encouraged him to study it further.

Name: Tyson Spensieri
Job Description: #SMPerth Intern March – August 2018

Tyson was a student at Edith Cowan University and completed a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations. He was chosen to attend the ECU International Study Tour.

Over the two week period he visited a range of digital, strategic and creative advertising agencies in the heart of London. He got to experience what a fast paced and energetic lifestyle was like for the experts that live on the other side of the world.

Tyson also attended the International Advertising Association Apprentice Conference in Dubai.

It was a two day long event that involved influential talks on key topics throughout the industry. He loves the fast pace and creativity advertising and marketing has to offer.

More recently, he completed the Jump Start Advertising Graduate Program through The Communications Council last year. He gained understanding into what goes on in the day to day life of a number of Perth advertising agencies.

These days you will see him working at Grand Cinemas, where he has been for the last 7 years, where he has seen roughly 90% of the movies that have come out in this period. He has had to overcome many obstacles to work his way up to achieve the role of manager. So you have a question for him about film and cinema he will most likely be able to answer it with ease.

He is also heavily involved with sport mainly involving AFL, EPL and NBA. If you support the Fremantle Dockers, you will get on with him extremely well.

Tyson is extremely keen to be a #SMPerth Intern and is extremely excited to work with Meg. He looks forward to posting engaging content for the people of Perth and creating relationships with other like-minded people within the industry.

Tyson feels privileged for the opportunity he has at #SMPerth and looks forward to meeting you all at future events.
